Osaka Film Council participated as an exhibitor in BIFCOM 2001 held on November 11-13 and introduced Osaka as a best suited location for filming. The Council also held talks with Korean filmmakers with the hope of inviting them to shoot their films in Osaka. The showcase, held during the period of Busan International Film Festival, was hosted by Busan Film Commission with 27 booths exhibited from 9 countries. Exhibitors from Japan, besides Osaka, include representative of Hokkaido, Yokohama, Kobe, Kitakyushu, and Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO).
